Mrs. Williamson’s Grade 3

September Newsletter

Dear Parents/Guardians,

Welcome to the 2017-2018 school year! My name is Terri Williamson and I am excited to be your child’s grade three teacher. I am returning to grade three after many years in other teaching positions and am truly thrilled to be back!  I welcome your participation in our joint effort to make this year the best it can be for your child and all children in our class. The grade three year is busy due to each subject area demanding more complex understanding. Grade 3 is a cross-roads between “learning to read” and “reading to learn” . Students will be working cooperatively, in partners and teams, as well as more independently. Grade 3’s are up to the challenge of becoming the leaders of our school. As leaders, the students and I will work together to create a welcoming and safe classroom/school where each student contributes by putting their best effort forward to meet their learning goals. I am looking forward to beginning and continuing to get to know your lovely children and guiding them on their learning journeys.

Sincerely,

Terri Williamson
