Dear Parents,

Only 3 1/2 more weeks of Kindergarten! Where has the time gone? Wow! Your children have grown so much. I am so proud of all their learning!

Academics : We are finishing off the year with the theme of “Bugs and Insects!” along with some “Birds and Mountain Animals”. Literacy groups and home reading will be completed next week. If you still have any reading books please send them in.  I will be doing final assessment pieces and finishing off projects with students over the next few weeks.

Dates to Remember!

*Please remember that Milk and Pizza are completed for the year. 

June 2nd – No School for Kindergarten – Professional Development Day

June 7th – Library Day

June 8th – Walk to the Public Library (Afternoon)

June 9th –  Book Orders Due (So I can get them back to you before the end of the year):)

June 13th – Senses Activities here in the Outdoor Reserve (We are not going to the Outdoor Learning Center – We will be doing the same activities here at school in our reserve).

June 14th – Last School Library Day – Please make sure all books are returned. I am hoping we can get these all back in as soon as possible. Any fines for missing books will be in your child’s report card.

June 16th – No School for Kindergarten – Professional Development Day

June 22nd – Policeman’s Creek – Bug Hunt (Morning)

June 27th – ** Last Day of Regular Classes

June 28th – Kindergarten Picnic 10 am – 12 noon. An adult must accompany your child on this day. Outside on the hill – Games will be set up and run by our grade 3 students as well as face painting (by the teachers!). Then we will all have a picnic (bring your own, plus a blanket) followed by a short presentation by our students.

Summer Holidays Begin!Summer

I’m sure I will be able to get to talk with you all before or at the end of the year picnic, but if not. Thank you for all of your support and hard work with your children this year. I am so proud of all the things they have accomplished. They are well on their way to be great members of our community. I look forward to seeing them around town this summer. 🙂 Mrs. W.
